How was the project funded

A large amount of the renovation budget for The Grammar has been provided by the Future High Streets Fund (FHSF), a central Government Scheme designed to breathe life back into British towns. The grant amount was £8.59m with the total invested in each of the three Heanor projects from additional sources set to exceed £17m. With changes to the structure of funding at UK Government, the FHSF moved into DLUHC (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities) and MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government).
